Small and onshore across the NC coast this morning — everything's sitting at ★1 with east and southeast winds making a mess of the surface, especially down at Frisco and Hatteras where the SE is blowing 12-16 mph straight in. Duck Pier and Avalon are your best bets right now with lighter winds keeping things marginally cleaner, though still nothing to write home about. The good news is swell is building through the next 24-48 hours, so keep an eye on the Outer Banks as size fills in — if winds cooperate, it could get interesting by midweek.
