Marginal conditions across the coast this morning, with Long Beach your best option at a modest ★2 on solid 12-second west swell — cross-offshore northerlies are keeping faces semi-groomed there and at Cape Disappointment (★1.5). Westport and Ocean Shores are showing similar period but winds are running stronger and the ratings reflect it. Trend is building, so expect things to fill in over the next couple days — if that north wind backs off as the swell develops, Long Beach and the south Washington coast should see the best of it.
