Pretty forgettable morning up and down the NC coast — everything's sitting at 1 star with knee-high slop and onshore southerlies 11-16 mph making a mess of it. If you have to paddle out, Avon Pier, Carolina Beach, and Jennettes Pier at least have some cross-shore angle to clean things up slightly, but don't expect much beyond ankle-to-knee high mush. Conditions look to hold steady through the next few days, so don't clear your schedule — keep an eye on any new swell windows but right now the forecast isn't inspiring.
