Pretty underwhelming out there right now — everything's sitting at 1 star across the board with small, mixed-up surf and mostly cross-onshore winds making a mess of what little swell exists. Your best bets today are Emerald Isle and Holden Beach where at least the northerly winds are offshore, though you're still only looking at knee-high slop. The building trend is real though — Avon Pier is expecting over 3 feet of gain in the next 24 hours, so keep eyes on the Hatteras area over the next couple days as this swell fills in.
