Conditions are pretty rough across the Southeast this morning — everything's sitting at ★1 with junky short-period windswell and strong onshore flow hammering most of the coast. If you have to paddle out, Emerald Isle and Frisco Pier have the most favorable wind angles right now, but don't get too excited. The good news is swell is building significantly over the next 24 hours, especially up at Rodanthe and the Hatteras stretch, so keep your eyes on the forecast — the next couple days could shape up nicely once the wind clocks around.
