Pretty bleak out there this morning — the entire Southeast is maxing out at a 1-star rating across the board, with Avon, Duck, and Nags Head leading the pack at ankle-to-knee-high surf on short-period south swell. Wind is actually working in your favor at most OBX spots, offshore to cross-offshore out of the WSW, so at least the surface is clean if you're desperate. Conditions hold steady through the next couple days, so don't hold your breath for anything more — this flat spell isn't breaking anytime soon.
