Pretty grim out there this morning — everything across the Northeast is sitting at a flat ★1 as weak, short-period south and east swell struggles to do much with knee-to-thigh-high surf. Rhode Island has the slight edge with Ruggles and First Beach nudging close to 2 feet, and the NE cross-offshore flow at spots like Marys and Dunes is about as good as the conditions get today. Trend holds steady through the next couple days, so don't expect a miracle — this flat spell looks locked in for the near term.
