Surf is pretty much flat across the Gulf today — all spots sitting at 1-star or below, with ankle-to-shin-high windswell and not much period to speak of. Best of the bunch are the Galveston spots and Surfside Beach at 1-star, helped by cross-offshore westerly winds keeping things relatively clean, though there's not much to work with. Conditions hold steady through the next few days, so don't expect any dramatic improvement — keep an eye on any frontal activity that might eventually kick up some south wind swell.
