Rough start this morning across the Southeast — onshore and cross-onshore winds are killing any shape, leaving everything rated a 1-star mess from the OBX down to the Grand Strand. Cherry Grove is showing the most size at 3.7ft, with Frisco and Avon not far behind, but short-period windswell at 5 seconds isn't doing anyone any favors. Good news is conditions are building through the next 24 hours, so keep an eye on the next couple days as this swell fills in — if the wind swings offshore, things could get interesting quick.
