Small and mostly mushy out there this morning — the whole NC coast is sitting at ★1.5 with 1.5–2ft faces on a decent 10-second ESE period, but onshore flow is keeping things soft across the board. Avalon, Kill Devil Hills, and Surf City have the lightest winds right now if you're chasing the cleanest conditions. Swell is building through the next 24 hours, so check back tomorrow — if the wind swings offshore, things could get notably more interesting by midweek.
