Sloppy conditions up and down the Carolina coast this morning with cross to cross-onshore ENE winds running 17–31 mph making a mess of the swell. Kure Beach leads the pack at ★2.5 on model-estimated swell around 6.4ft at 7s, with the rest of the crew — Hatteras, Ocracoke, Topsail, Surf City — all sitting at ★2.0. Swell is building into tomorrow so heights should climb, but keep an eye on those winds — if they back off or go cross-offshore you'll find cleaner faces; otherwise it stays choppy through the next couple days.
